A female victim parked her grey 1998 Honda Civic 4 door (5KED957) in stall #311 of the Castro Valley Station at 0640 hours.  When she returned at 1720 hours, she discovered her Honda was stolen.  The Honda had both plates and an officer is investigating.

A sergeant conducted a welfare check on a man who had been disturbing others on a train and in the station.  The man, who had been wearing a pair of plaid shorts on his head, was invading passengers’ personal space while “exercising” and doing flips.  The man was found to have two $50,000 San Francisco misdemeanor warrants.  One warrant was for burglary, and the other was for theft.  The suspect was arrested on the warrants, debriefed by the sergeant, and booked into Santa Rita Jail.

Possession of a Controlled Substance

Castro Valley - 1306-2328

Officers received a report that a man was talking to himself and cursing loudly aboard a San Francisco train.  The officers located the suspect based upon his description and initiated a welfare check.  While talking to the officers, the man pulled a BART ticket out of his pocket.  In the process, several pieces of suspected rock cocaine fell out of his pocket and onto the ground.  A search of the suspect revealed methadone and drug paraphernalia.  The suspect was arrested for possession of the controlled substances and for possession of drug paraphernalia.  A sergeant  approved the arrest and debriefed the suspect.  The suspect was booked into Santa Rita Jail.

A man was robbed of his iPhone on the parking lot access road.  Two males wearing dark-hooded sweatshirts (no further descriptions) struck the victim and fled northbound on Wilbeam Ave. with the victim’s property.  The victim sustained  cuts to his eye and lip, and may have received a concussion.  The victim was transported to a local  hospital for medical treatment.

A victim reported the burglary of his green 2000 Honda Civic, which was parked in stall 641, between 0820 and 1915 hours.  The vehicle’s door lock was defeated in order to gain entry, and the loss was a Sony-Brand CD player worth $200.  The victim declined to have his vehicle processed for evidence.

Fare Evasion/Possession of Altered Tickets

The station agent reported that a female suspect had just evaded fare to exit.  The suspect was described as a black female, about 30 years old, 5'3" tall, with a ponytail, wearing a black top and multi-colored tights.  An officer located a female in the bus zone who matched the suspect description and detained her.  The agent made a positive identification and citizen's arrest for fare evasion.  While the suspect was looking for identification, the officer noticed that the ticket in her hands had been altered by adding a portion of a magnetic strip.  The officer arrested the woman for possession of altered fare media and incident to arrest, located scissors and a glue stick on the woman's person.  The woman claimed she was given the ticket by her boyfriend.  Detectives were contacted.  The woman was ultimately issued a citation for possession of altered fare media and fare evasion.

Officers responded to a report of a loud argument and possible physical fight between a man and woman aboard a Dublin/Pleasanton train.  The officers located the couple and had them off-board the train.  It was determined that the woman had a restraining order against the man, with whom she has  a  dating relationship.  The suspect was arrested for violation of the restraining order, and for domestic battery.  The suspect had pushed the victim and bitten her on the lip while aboard the train.  The suspect was debriefed by a sergeant, then booked into Santa Rita Jail.

Officers were called to a domestic disturbance at the station.  After contacting both parties, the officers determined that there was no physical contact, but the female had a criminal protective order requiring her to stay away from the male.  She was taken into custody and booked into the Santa Rita Jail for violation of the court order.

An adult female was sitting in the bus zone at Castro Valley Station when a suspect snatched her I-Pad.  The victim reported to BART Police that she was using the I-Pad when the suspect (18-20 y.o., BM, 5’9”, medium build, wearing a black T-shirt over grey long-sleeve thermals, plaid red and black hat) took it from her hands and ran toward Redwood Ave.  The victim gave a short chase but stopped when the suspect threatened her.  Alameda County Sheriff’s Office was notified and officers conducted an area search with negative results.  The suspect may be known and investigative leads are being followed with.

A woman telephoned the ISRC/BART police dispatch to report that her 1999 Honda Civic had been burglarized today in stall #609 between 0830-2115 hrs.  The owner drove home after discovering her vehicle unlocked in the parking lot.  The victim found no sign of forced entry, but noticed that the passenger compartment and the trunk of her car had been rummaged through, and her GPS had been stolen.  At 2210 hrs., the investigating officer was assigned the case while on patrol at Bay Fair station.  He reached the victim by telephone and took a report.  The vehicle was not processed for latent prints because the owner had driven it home.
