Officers responded to the station's bus zone upon a report of a male punching a female in the face. The adult male suspect was arrested for battery on his juvenile girlfriend and booked. She refused medical treatment.
Officers responded to the station after two adult males were reportedly involved in a physical altercation. One subject fled on foot upon being contacted by an on-duty BPD sergeant in civilian clothes. A foot chase ensued with the subject eventually being caught and arrested. He was later booked for resisting arrest. The other involved party was also detained. No further action was taken after it was determined that the altercation was mutual and neither party wanted to press charges against the other.
An adult male was detained for drinking a beverage in the paid-area of the station. During the detention, it was discovered that the suspect had a felony warrant for his arrest for violation of his parole. The suspect was arrested and booked for the warrant.

A 16 year old male and his 17 year old girlfriend, parents of a six month old infant, had a dispute while at the station. Witnesses stated that the female was clearly the aggressor. The female bit, scratched, punched and kicked the male. Officers detained both parties, and later booked the female at Juvenile Hall.
An adult male patron using a wheelchair was confronted by an unknown male adult suspect in the parking lot. The suspect forcibly stole $500 in cash from the victim who had been counting his money. The suspect fled from the area and was not located. The victim was not injured.
San Leandro P.D. advised that a female juvenile had reported being robbed at gunpoint, at Bay Fair Station, of her cell phone. The crime occurred 30 minutes earlier. The victim knows one suspect's first name and that he is from Oakland. Both suspects are males, 16-17 years old. A follow-up investigation will be conducted.
An officer on patrol observed a suspicious vehicle with two occupants enter the lot. Upon investigating, the officer observed one of the subjects out of the vehicle acting as if he were a look-out. The look-out fled upon seeing the officer. The other subject was observed attempting to back a Honda Accord out of stall at which time the officer blocked his attempt. The subject in the Honda was arrested for auto theft. The second suspect was later taken into custody by an assisting officer. The vehicle they entered the lot with was an unreported stolen (from where yet to be determined).
An adult male approached a female patron at the bus stop and attempted to engage her in conversation. The male suddenly reached out and touched the victim in the groin. The suspect was apprehended at the scene and booked for sexual battery.

A young adult male boarded the train at Bay Fair Station, snatched the PSP from the victim's hand, and quickly off boarded as the train doors closed. Officers were unable to locate the suspect.
A female was the victim of a strongarm robbery that occurred in the bus zone. The suspect, a male in his early twenties, is believed to be an ex-boyfriend of the victim. The suspect fled the scene prior to the arrival of responding officers. Loss was a purse and cell phone.
An off-duty City of San Jose Police Officer contacted BART Police Officers who were on patrol at the Bay Fair station to report a rowdy male in the station who was possibly armed with a handgun. Officers searched the station and located a suspect who matched the description given by the witness. The suspect was detained and a loaded Smith and Wesson .357 Magnum was recovered from the suspect's pants pocket. The suspect was booked for weapons violations.
A citizen informed an officer that he had just off boarded an AC Transit bus and had observed four juveniles aboard the bus, two of whom were in possession of handguns. The citizen last saw the juveniles walking toward the Bay Fair Mall. San Leandro PD officers arrested one of the juveniles and recovered one of the firearms. BPD officers located the other three juveniles and caught two of them, but the third suspect fled into the neighborhood and eluded capture. One of the captured juveniles had two 'no bail' warrants and was transported to Juvenile Hall.
A juvenile male was booked into juvenile hall for battery on after he and a large number of other juveniles became involved in a verbal altercation on an AC Transit bus as it pulled into the station. A crowd of 40 to 50 juveniles who gathered after the altercation had to be dispersed by responding officers.
AC Transit dispatch reported that four rowdy, male teenagers, who had been drinking, were trying to board a bus. Officers detained an 18-year-old man in the bus zone who possessed a bottle of alcohol. The suspect fled. He was arrested after a foot pursuit during which he discarded an unloaded, stolen .380 semi-automatic pistol. The suspect was booked at Santa Rita Jail for possession of a concealed weapon, possession of stolen property, and resisting arrest.
A male juvenile was arrested by undercover San Leandro PD officers as he attempted to steal a vehicle from the lot. The suspect used a shaved key to gain entry into at least two vehicles prior to being apprehended. BPD officers took over the investigation and booked the suspect at juvenile hall.
An officer observed an adult male wearing a Raider's jersey, screaming, yelling and banging his fists on the station agent's booth. The suspect told the officer he had been ejected from the Oakland Coliseum by police officers, and he was not about to cooperate. The officer had to wrestle the combative suspect to the ground to gain control and place him in custody. The suspect violently tried to injure himself while in the patrol car and was held for psychiatric evaluation at a local hospital.
Two suspects accosted a woman in the Bay Fair Mall parking lot, robbing her of a cell phone and other property. The victim reported the incident to a BPD officer who was on patrol in the Bay Fair Station parking lot. The officer located the suspects and they fled into the neighborhood. The officer detained the suspects on Elgin Street and turned them over to San Leandro PD. Both suspects were in possession of items of the victim's property.
