An officer contacted a (female) robbery victim at St. Rose Hospital, Hayward, while she received medical attention for her injured right eye. The victim reported that on 10/26/16, at about 0900 hours, she was confronted by a male and a female in the station’s west parking lot. After questioning the victim about her iPhone 6S, one of the suspects suddenly punched and knocked the victim to the ground. Once on the ground, the victim was kicked about the face before her iPhone was taken by the suspects; who then fled. Later in the day, the victim arrived at the hospital in order to be treated for a swollen right eye. The victim described both suspects as Hispanic and in their mid-20s. Individually, the victim described the suspects as follows: male – 5’11” tall, wearing a black sweatshirt, blue jeans, black knit cap and black Converse shoes; female – 5’5” tall, “chunky,” waist length wavy hair in a pony-tail, wearing a gray top and glasses. The officer requested station video.

A victim reported that his 2010 Jeep Patriot was taken by a male suspect who is known to him. The victim was said that he was arrested on August 20th by the Alameda County Sheriff's Office and he dropped his car keys during the arrest. The suspect retrieved the keys and has been driving his car, but will not return it. He last confronted the male suspect when he saw him in the vehicle at the Bay Fair Station on 9/23, but the suspect refused to return the vehicle and drove away. The victim is the registered owner of the vehicle.

A patron reported that a male suspect snatched their laptop computer while on a Dublin bound train. The suspect fled from the train at Bay Fair Station. The suspect was described as a black male in his teens, 5'2" tall, wearing a white shirt and jeans. The suspect fled on foot toward Bay Fair Mall, and was not located by responding officers. The victim remained on the train and completed a report when they arrived at Dublin/Pleasanton Station.

A sergeant and officers responded to the station regarding an armed carjacking which occurred minutes earlier in the west parking lot. The female victim, who suffered minor injuries during the robbery, reported being confronted by four (4) black male suspects, two of whom threatened to shoot her while pointing (2) handguns at her. The victim was then forcibly removed from her vehicle (a charcoal gray 2008 BMW 535i) by the suspects, who then fled in the vehicle. An unsuccessful area search for the vehicle/suspects was performed by officers; San Leandro Police and the California Highway Patrol were provided with the carjacking information as well. The victim further described the suspects as: wearing black and/or blue colored hoodies; all appearing to be in their 20’s. Paramedics responded to provide the victim with medical attention.

An officer contacted an adult male who was holding an open bottle of alcohol. The male tried to walk away and had to be physically restrained. He was found to be in possession of another bottle of alcohol with an anti-theft device still attached. He was also found to be on probation for grand theft. The male complained of eye pain (no visible injury), so he was transported to be cleared before he is to be booked into the Santa Rita Jail for the above charges. A sergeant responded to conduct the use of force investigation.
