An adult female victim reported the theft of her green 1997 Acura Integra (3WBA139) from the Ashby Station lot, stall # 342. a BART Officer contacted the victim. The vehicle was parked in the lot about 0800 hours, and discovered missing about 1745 hours.
An adult female victim reported to a BART Officer that her vehicle was burglarized while parked in the west lot, stall #470, at Ashby Station. The 2000 grey Honda Civic (4HTZ756) was parked about 0800 hours, and the victim returned about 1920 hours to find the right rear wing window smashed, and the Kenwood stereo missing. 1211-3908 L21.
While taking another auto burglary report, a BART Officer also found a green 1997 Volkswagon Golf (3XBS445) with the front passenger window smashed out. The Officer contacted the adult female victim. The vehicle was parked in stall #441 about 0838 hours. The vehicle was entered but no loss was discovered. 1211-3908A L21.
An adult female victim reported to a BART Officer that her vehicle was burglarized while parked in the west lot, stall #475, at Ashby Station. The 2004 white Ford Mustang (6HQY318) was parked about 0715 hours, and the victim returned about 1740 hours to find the passenger window smashed, and the Pioneer stereo missing. The Officer checked for prints but none were located.
Officers were called to a reported fight in the flea market involving two males. Berkeley PD officers detained a possible suspect nearby, but the other suspect and/or witnesses were not located. The detained adult male was turned over to BART officers and determined to have a $37,000 warrant for battery. He will be booked into the Berkeley City Jail for the warrant.
Victim reported the catalytic converter removed from his white 1997 Toyota 4runner CA. 3UPW654 while the vehicle was parked in stall #402 between 1200 and 2000 hours. It appeared to have been cut off. No evidence was located.
Victim reported his Dolen, men’s single speed track bike, valued at $400, stolen between 1115 and 1545 hours. The bicycle also had black wheels and a silver and gold chain. The bicycle was secured with two cable locks which were also taken and valued at $40.
An officer was dispatched to the Ashby Bart Station for a report of an aggressive intoxicated male inside the station. The officer located the subject (White male, 506,160) and determined that he was too intoxicated to care for himself. The male was placed under arrest for Public Intoxication. As the officer was attempting to place him inside the patrol car, the male violently resisted his efforts. Force was used to place him side the patrol car. A supervisor responded to the scene and conducted an investigation. The male was transported to the Glenn Dyer Jail for booking. While at the jail, the male resisted the officer's attempts to walk him into jail. A supervisor responded to the scene and conducted an investigation.

An unknown suspect cut a cable lock and removed a "bait" Bike from the Ashby BART Station. Using GPS technology, the bike was tracked to a business in Oakland. Consent to search was given by a store employee and during the search the "bait" bike was recovered, and additional bikes were located. The additional bikes were ran through police records. Records showed all the bikes were clear and were not reported stolen. Detectives responded to the business and the case is actively under investigation.
A victim reported a man took his silver and white Apple laptop computer from him while they were on the platform. The suspect grabbed the computer from the victim’s hands and fled the station in an unknown direction. A search for the suspect by officers proved negative. There were no injuries.
Victim reported her Bridgestone, X02 model bicycle, valued at $250, and an attached Trail Along brand, One Step bike trailer, valued at $75, stolen between 0830 and 1815 hours. A cable lock, unknown value, was also taken.
A victim reported that his black, single speed road bike with gold rims, valued at $325.00 was stolen while it was locked at the station. The owner had only secured the front tire to the rack using a U lock. When the owner returned he noticed that the tire and lock were still locked to the rack and the rest of the bike had been stolen. The theft had occurred between 1500 hours on 10/13 and 1715 hours on 10/15.
An officer on routine patrol contacted a subject for smoking marijuana outside of the station. The officer ran a warrant check and the suspect had a $30,000 misdemeanor warrant from the San Francisco Police Department for Vandalism. The suspect was taken into custody for the warrant. The sergeant responded to approve the arrest before the suspect was booked into the Berkeley City Jail on the warrant.
A victim reported that a man took his cell phone from him at knife point while at the station. The victim said he loaned the man his phone, but when he asked for his phone back the man showed him a knife that was in his pants pocket. The victim became scared and the suspect fled the scene. A search for the suspect by the officers proved negative. TSOC notified.
A BART Officer contacted an adult male victim who reported the theft of his bicycle from the Ashby Station bike rack. The victim used a U-Lock to secure his silver Schwinn Ranger 18-speed about 0930 hours. When he returned about 1624 hours, the bike and lock were gone.
A patron reported the theft of his burgundy 7 speed Tres Terra Europa electric bicycle from the bike racks. The bike was secured to the racks with a chain and padlock at 0000 hours. When he returned at 1300 hours, the bike and chain were gone. The investigating officer will request station video.
An adult male victim reported the theft of his blue 1996 Ford F-150 (5L90247) from stall #374, of the Ashby Station. The victim parked his truck at 0645 hours on 9/27/12, and returned at 1715 hours on 9/28/12, to discover his truck was missing. The truck had both license plates. An officer responded and took over the investigation. 1209-4155 L22 UPDATE: 9/29/12 @ 0238 hours, the victim located his truck at another station. Truck was not stolen and report made in error. L22
A suspect was seen by an officer fare evading into the system. The officer contacted the suspect advising him he needed to buy and process a ticket. The suspect, while being escorted out, turned on the officer, clinched his fist and puffed out his chest. He walked aggressively at the officer. The suspect pushed the officer twice hard in the chest. The suspect was place under arrest for Battery on a Peace Officer, cleared medically and booked at the Santa Rita Jail.
A male threw himself in front of a train as it entered the station on the #2 trackway. The train hit him. He was able to climb out from under the train and went to the Station Agents booth where he told the agent that he tried to kill himself because he was depressed. The agent was able to get the subject to stay in the area until officers arrived. A witness believed someone was still under the train. As a precaution the train was separated but no one was located under the train. The subject was not injured but was transported to Alta Bates hospital to be medically cleared. He was then placed on a psychiatric detention.
A victim reported the theft of his blue men's 21 speed mountain bike (brand: Dyna Craft - Rhino). The victim parked and locked his bike at 0400 hours to the bike racks using a Kryptonite lock. When he returned at 1600 hours, his bike was gone but his helmet and lock were undisturbed. The victim is unsure if he properly secured the bike. The bike was valued at $80.00.
