Two sergeants and an officer were on patrol of the 24th Street Station when a victim of a phone theft contacted them. Suspect was described as a male wearing a dark hoodie and possibly fled to the train platform. Officers located the suspect on the platform and attempted to take him into custody but he fled from the officers. After a short foot chase, the suspect was stopped in the plaza and was taken into custody at gun point. The victim's cell phone was recovered and the victim identified the male that was detained as the person that took her cell phone from her. A records/warrant check showed the suspect was clear of warrants but has prior history of theft. The suspect admitted to the theft and gave a full confession. A lieutenant responded to approve the use of force and to approve the arrest. The male was booked at the San Francisco Jail.
A patron on the Milbrae train reported that a Hispanic couple was involved in a heated verbal argument. The couple off-boarded at 24th Street Station and witnesses reported that the fight had become physical. The couple could be seen on camera pushing each other and swinging their fists at each other. Trains were held while officers responded. Both parties were taken into custody without incident. The investigation revealed that the couple was involved in a dating relationship and that the physical fight was mutual. Neither party was injured. Both parties were arrested. An Emergency Protective Order was obtained for the female. The male declined. Both suspects were issued prohibition orders before being booked at the San Francisco County Jail for misdemeanor domestic violence.
An officer responded to a report of two men involved in a verbal altercation near the fare gates. A witness reported one of the parties, who was in a wheelchair, pulled out scissors and pointed it toward the other male in a threatening manner. The suspect was placed under citizen’s arrest for brandishing a weapon. A sergeant arrived at the scene, and medical attention was requested for the suspect. Due to medical reasons, the suspect was eventually cited for brandishing a weapon and was issued a 30 day BART prohibition order.
A victim reported the theft of their Magna 18-speed bike from the bike racks. The bike was secured with a U-lock and a cable lock on 12/5 at 1200 hours and when the victim returned on 12/12 at 1045 hours, the bike and locks were gone.
A warrant check on a person detained for fare evasion revealed an outstanding $10,000 arrest warrant out of BART for narcotics, and a $5,000 arrest warrant out of Pinole for driving while intoxicated. The subject was cited for fare evasion and placed under arrest for the warrants. There were no injuries and a sergeant arrived at the scene to approve the arrest.
A victim reported via phone that they locked their bicycle (a black Lines men’s road bicycle, unknown model or serial number) to the paid area bike racks on 11/29/13, at 1200 hours. The bicycle was secured with U-lock. The victim returned today, at 0700 hours to find their bicycle gone. The estimated value of the bike is $350.
A patron reported that their electric blue Schwinn Beach Cruiser bike was stolen from the racks inside the paid area of the station between 1400-1545 hours. The victim secured the bike with a cable lock.
Dispatch received a report of a male subject who may have attempted to take a baby from a female while she was in the elevator of the 24th Street Station. Officers responded and detained the male near the station. The woman did not know the male. The baby was not injured in the incident. The victim positively identified the male that was detained by officers as the male who committed a battery against her and who had held onto her without her consent. Detectives were advised and interviewed the suspect. Video was also requested. During the investigation and interview, it was determined that there was insufficient evidence to charge the suspect with attempted kidnapping. However, the suspect was arrested for false imprisonment and misdemeanor battery and is to be booked into the SF County Jail. A sergeant was on scene to approve the arrest.
Officers responded to a report that a person jumped into the construction site located in the plaza area, and was taking shovels and other tools from the site. San Francisco Police detained a person walking with tools and wheelbarrow away from the area, who was positively identified by a witness as the person who entered the fenced area The suspect was placed under arrest for burglary. A sergeant arrived at the scene to approve the arrest and interview the suspect, who was uncooperative.
An officer contacted an adult female for fare evasion and determined that she had a no bail warrant for DUI and a BART infraction warrant. The female was cited for the fare evasion and booked into the San Francisco County Jail for the warrants.

Officers responded to the station on a report of two suspects who tried to rob a female of her iPhone while on the platform. The suspects tried to grab the cell phone from the victim’s hand, and kicked her while trying to take it. After being unsuccessful, the suspect exited from the station via the emergency door on the platform. No one was injured and a search for the suspects proved negative.
A female victim reported that while aboard a Pittsburg/Bay Point bound train at the station a Black male suspect suddenly grabbed her iPhone from her hands and off-boarded the train as the train’s doors closed. The victim then reported the theft to an officer at the Powell Street Station. The victim did not sustain any injuries during the theft, and she further described the suspect as appearing 18-20 years of age; wearing a black hooded jacket, black pants and white tennis shoes. The investigating officer requested train and station video.
A male suspect approached the station agent and told the agent that he had crystal meth on his person and was in the station to conduct a drug deal. The suspect left the station and then returned a short time later. Officers contacted the suspect on the platform. The suspect had multiple probations, including one from BART PD for lewd acts, with a full search clause. Officers located suspected methamphetamine on the man's person. The suspect was arrested and booked at San Francisco County Jail for possession of narcotics.
A victim reported a man snatched a $1,500.00 silver Apple MacBook Works laptop computer from her lap while on a Pittsburg bound train at the station. The suspect then fled from the train and up the stairs, possibly out of the station. There were no injuries. Video hotline notified.
a victim reported the theft of his grey Specialized hybrid bicycle (unknown serial numbers) from the 24th Street Station. The victim parked his bike inside the station on 9/12 at 1745 hours and locked his bike to the rack using a chain and lock. He returned at 23oo hours and discovered his loss. The victim estimated his loss at $500.00. No evidence was left at the scene and station video was requested.
A victim reported the theft of his teal Bianchi Milano 7 speed beach cruiser (no serial number) from the 24th Street Station. The victim parked his bike on 9/12/13 at 2100 hours inside the station. He secured the bike to the racks inside the station using a U-lock and cable lock. When he returned on 12/13 at 0001 hours, he discovered his bike was missing. The victim estimated his loss at $500.00. Station video was requested.
A patron was a passenger on a Pittsburg bound train. When the train stopped at the 24th Street Station, a male suspect took the patron’s cell phone from her hand. The suspect then pushed the patron down and fled with the cell phone on foot. The suspect was black, 25 to 30 years of age, 5’-9” tall, medium complexion, wearing a white hoodie with a black pattern, and dark jeans. The loss was an iPhone white in color. No tracking was available.
A female patron reported that a male suspect snatched her iPhone from her hand while she was on the Dublin bound train. The suspect fled from the train at 24th Street Station. The victim off-boarded and was contacted by officers at Civic Center Station. The suspect was described as a black male with a light complexion, 20-25 years old, 6' tall with a medium build, wearing all black clothing. The victim's phone was not equipped with tracking. Officers were unable to locate the suspect in the area of 24th Street Station. The victim was not injured.
A victim reported that while he was on the east plaza down escalator on 8/30/13 at approximately 0300 hours, a man approached him from behind and choked him to the point of passing out. When the victim came to, he found that his black leather wallet containing $20.00 in cash and credit cards missing. There were no injuries. Video hotline notified.
A male suspect attempted to snatch an iPad from a female victim on board a Fremont train approaching 24th Street Station. The female struggled for control of the item and was successful in keeping her property away from the suspect. The suspect then brandished a black semi-automatic pistol and demanded the property, but the victim refused to comply. The suspect fled on foot when the train arrived at 24th Street Station and responding BART and SFPD officers were unable to locate him in the station or on surrounding city streets. The suspect was described as a black male adult, about 5'8" tall, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with the hood up, a baseball cap and camouflage pants. TSOC was notified of the incident. Officers have requested train and station video of the incident.
The victim reported that her Galaxy 3 cell phone was taken from her by an adult male and female suspect. According to the victim, the female suspect (S-1) is her boss. S-1 apparently took the victim's phone because money was owed to her by the victim. S-2, was also known to the victim, but only stood by as S-1 took the victim's phone. Officers called the victim's cell phone and an SFPD officer answered. The SFPD officer advised that they had contacted S-2 in an unrelated incident where they located the victim's phone. The victim's phone was returned to her and she declined to press charges against the suspects.
A victim reported a man knocked her down and took her $300 white iPhone 5 while they were inside the station. The suspect fled upstairs toward the east plaza area. The victim received a head injury from being knocked to the ground, and was treated and released at the scene by medical personnel. Video hotline notified.
A patron reported that a male suspect (BM, 6', 19-20 years, wearing a black hoodie, blue jeans and old Air Jordan shoes) tried to grab his iPhone from his hand as the train was at the 24th Street Station. The suspect was not able to get the phone, and fled into the station. The victim off-boarded to make the report. An area check for the suspect met with negative results. Train/station video will be requested.
Officers responded to the station for a report of an Iphone theft that just occurred. The female victim reported that she was sitting on a train playing a game on her Iphone when a suspect snatched her Iphone from her hands and fled out of the 24th St. Station as the doors were about to close. Officers tried to track the phone but it appeared that the phone had been turned off. (Suspect description: Black male, 20-30 years old, wearing all black and a black beanie). During the course of the investigation, there was a witness who recovered identification that was possibly dropped by the suspect during the commission of the crime. Neither this witness nor the victim was able to identify the suspect. At the time of this posting, the investigating sergeant and officer were waiting for station video to review.
