An officer contacted an adult male for fare evasion and discovered that he had a no bail warrant for assault with a deadly weapon. The male was given a warning citation for fare evasion and booked into the San Francisco County Jail for the warrant.
A victim reported the theft of her apple iPhone 7 as she was exiting a Bay Point train at 24Th Street. Loss was an iPhone 7.
A Trek 21-speed bicycle was taken from 24th Street Station sometime between 13:00 and 16:45. The bicycle was secured to the bike rack in the paid area of the station with a cable lock. Video evidence was requested.
A victim reported the theft of their silver bike from the bike racks. The bike was secured to the rack with a U-lock at 0930 hours and when the victim returned at 2023 hours the bike and lock were missing.
A pregnant patron was robbed of her cell phone, she was punched and fell to ground. Had to be transported to SF Kaiser. Loss was a Iphone 6s. Suspect HM 18-20 years all black clothes video requested.
A victim reported her iPhone 6S Plus was taken from her while aboard a Millbrae bound train at the 24th Street Station. Loss was reported at $600. The victim does not know her serial numbers and the phone does not have tracking. An officer requested station video for the case.
A victim reported that their iPhone 6 was snatched from their hand while on board a train at 24th Street Station. The suspects were described as a black male 16-18 years old, wearing a black shirt and white pants, and a black female, 16-18 years old, wearing a red & black shirt and black pants. The suspects ran off the train at 24th Street, while the victim remained on board and reported the crime at 16th Street Station. The phone was tracked briefly, but tracking was lost. Responding officers were unable to locate the suspects in the area.
Officers on-viewed a male urinating at the 24th Street Station. They detained the male and a records check showed he was on probation and was prohibited from being on BART property. The male was placed under arrest and booked on the probation violation.
A victim reported that a male suspect approached him and pushed him in the chest while demanding his jacket. The victim did not hand over the jacket and the suspect (BM, 40s, thin, light blue jacket) then left the area and was not located. The victim was not injured as a result of the incident.
A victim reported the theft of their blue Trek 21-speed bike from the station. The bike was secured with a U-lock and cable lock on 4/02 at 1000 hours and when the victim returned at 1000 hours on 4/4, the bike and lock were gone.
A victim reported the theft of their black and white Giant Defy1 22-speed bike from the bike racks. The bike was secured with a U-lock and chain lock on 3/03 at 0900 hours and when the victim returned at 1800 hours, the bike and locks were gone.
Patrons reported six male teens acting boisterously on the platform. The teens threw at least two large traffic cones onto track #1, preventing trains from entering. The group then boarded the train on platform #2. Trains were held in the station while SFPD and BART officers responded. SFPD detained six juveniles who may have been involved. BART officers took over the investigation and found that there were no witnesses or complainants at the station. All six juveniles were identified and their guardians were contacted. They were released at the scene. There was a train delay of about 20 minutes as a result of this incident.
Officers were dispatched to intercept a train at the 24th Street Station for a male who was reportedly exposing himself. Officers contacted a male matching the description given, but no witness or victim came forward. The male was found to have a $30,000 warrant for theft, so he was booked into the San Francisco County Jail for the warrant.
Officers responded to a disturbance involving the station agent at the 24th Street Station. Officers arrived and determined the verbal dispute escalated into a battery on the station agent. The suspect was placed under arrest and was booked at the San Francisco County Jail.
The station agent witnessed a male suspect attempting to cut the lock of a bicycle with a portable grinding tool in the paid area of the station. Officers then located the suspect, who did not readily comply with their orders. One of the officers used a minimal amount of force to subdue the suspect without further incident. A sergeant responded to approve the arrest and perform the use of force investigation. Subsequently, the suspect was released on a citation for the attempt petty theft, possession of burglary tools and resisting arrest.
A male victim reported that while aboard a Pittsburg-Bay Point train between the San Francisco Airport and Balboa Park stations, he discovered one of this travel bags missing. The bag contained the following electronics: Amazon Kindle, Google Nexus 5 cell phone and a Macbook Air laptop; the items totaled $2K in monetary value. The victim did not have the electronics’ tracking information readily available, so the items were not immediately tracked. The investigating officer requested train video.
A male adult patron was struck by a train, Officers responded to investigate. It appears that this incident was an accident. Evidence Techs, responded and Trauma Repose was activated.
A female patron called in to report a male who sat very close to her and made her nervous. She refused to make a complaint, but gave a detailed description of the male before leaving the train. Officers intercepted the train to conduct a welfare check on the male and discovered that he had two $25,000 warrants for burglary and theft. The male was booked into the San Francisco County Jail for the warrants.
The station agent called to report a male creating a disturbance at the booth. Officers contacted the male and determined that he had a no bail parole violation warrant for his arrest. The station agent did not wish to make a complaint, so the male was booked into the San Francisco County Jail for the warrant.
A male fare evaded into the 24th Street Station and began vandalizing the station by ripping a phone handset off the wall and discharged several fire extinguishers. He then ran onto the trackway and fled through the tunnels towards Balboa Park Station. Officers searched the trackway for the male and located him inside a ventilation room, where the man climbed a 30 foot later. The male began taunting the officers to shoot him and threatened he was in possession of flammable material as he threw rocks at the officers. SF Fire, AMR and BART structure crews responded to assist. Officers located a passage way that put them within close proximity of the male and he was taken into custody. The male was placed on an emergency psychiatric Detention and was transported to a local hospital. Charges are pending.
Patrons reported that a Hispanic male in his 60's entered the #1 track and walked toward the 16th Street Station. Power was dropped and officers responded. SFPD officers also responded and arrived within two minutes. They contacted the man, who refused to exit the tracks. SFPD officers had to escort the man off the tracks and he was turned over to responding BART officers. Officers determined that the man was in need of emergency psychiatric care and he was transported to SF General Hospital for evaluation/treatment. There was about a ten minute delay in service as a result of this incident.
A patron called in to report a male hitting a female with a chain. The reporting party also reported the male was brandishing a knife. SFPD officers arrived at the station and detained the male and female. After interviewing witnesses, officers determined that the male and female were involved in a verbal dispute only and when another male stepped in, the suspect brandished a knife at him. No one was injured as a result of the incident. The incident train was held for approximately 21 minutes. The male suspect was issued a prohibition order and booked into the San Francisco County Jail for brandishing a knife.
A victim reported that her iPhone was taken from her hand as the train doors were closing at the 24th St Station. The victim's hand was injured when the suspect forcefully took it. The phone was in a case that also held the victim's credit card, which was later used at a nearby CVS (officers are trying to get store video). The phone was tracked to the area of 7th/Market St and officers responded there, but were unable to locate the suspect or the phone.
A victim reported that a while walking down the west plaza stairwell into the station, a Hispanic male suspect approached her from behind and took her white Samsung S5 cell phone out of her rear pants’ pocket. The suspect then fled on foot onto city streets with the victim in pursuit. The victim, however, was unable to catch up to the suspect. The victim, who was not injured during the theft, further described the suspect as: 5’5” tall; medium build; “chin” length black hair; wearing a lite-gray hooded sweatshirt. The stolen phone, valued at $400, was not trackable. The investigating officer requested station video.
A patron reported that a male suspect snatched his wallet from his hand while on board the Dublin bound train. The suspect was described only as a black male in the company of a female. The suspect and his companion fled to the street and responding officers were unable to locate them in the area. The victim is unable to identify the suspect.
