Officers observed an adult male subject in the plaza area of the station cleaning a crack pipe. The officers arrested the subject and a search incident to arrest revealed him to be in possession of suspected narcotics. Subsequent to his arrest the subject complained of shortness of breath and was transported to the hospital for evaluation. While at the hospital, the evaluating doctor determined the subject met the criteria for a 72 hour psychiatric detention. The subject will be booked when released.
A patron reported the theft of his (blue) $150 men’s Bianchi brand 21-speed road bike. The bike, which was secured with a cable lock, was stolen from the bike racks between 0715 hours on 4/02/13 and 2045 hours on 4/04/13. The investigating officer requested station video.
A female patron reported that a suspect (BM, 5'7", thin, red hoodie) grabbed her iPhone from her hand and fled out of the train as the train was at the station. The victim chased the suspect, but lost sight of him as he ran out of the station. The victim was not injured and the suspect was not located by responding officers. The phone did not have tracking enabled. Train/Station video will be requested.
While on patrol in the plaza area, officers on viewed a man in possession of suspected crack cocaine. The person was placed under for being in possession of crack cocaine, which a later preliminary test proved positive. a sergeant arrived at the scene to approve the arrest and debrief the suspect. Officers attempted to interview the suspect, but the suspect declined to give a statement. 1303-0119 L12.
Officers made contact with an adult male for drinking in public. The suspect was determined to have two no cite traffic warrants. The suspect was booked into the San Francisco County Jail for the warrants and cited for drinking in public.
A patron reported her iPhone 4S was taken from her hand while on a train. The three suspects fled from the train at 16th Street, but the victim did not report the theft until she arrived at Daly City Station. The victim could only describe one of the three suspects as a black male, 16-20 years old, wearing all black clothing. She stated she could not identify any of the suspects. The victim was not injured.
A warrant check on a person detained for urinating in public by officers revealed an outstanding no-bail arrest warrant out of the Department of Corrections for parole violation. The suspect was given a warning for urinating in public, and was placed under arrest on the warrant. 1212-1730 L12.
Officers contacted an adult male for fare evasion as he boarded a train at the station. The male was off-boarded at Civic Center Station after a records check revealed a no bail warrant for possession of a controlled substance. A search incident to arrest revealed a small amount of suspected methamphetamine, marijuana and a glass pipe. The male was debriefed regarding BART related crimes by the zone sergeant, but refused to provide information. He was booked into the San Francisco County Jail for the warrant and the possession charges.
A patron called to report the theft of her white 21-speed Cannondale bicycle. The bike was secured to the bike racks with a chain and U-lock on 10/25. When the victim returned on 10/30, the bike and locks were gone.
A patron reported the theft of his 12-speed Nishiki bicycle from the bike racks. The bike was secured to the bike racks using a cable lock on 11/4 at 1800 hours. When the victim returned at 0900 hours on 11/7, the bike and lock were gone.
Officers were flagged down by a witness who said a person was stealing a bicycle in the plaza area. The officers detained a person who was holding a bicycle wheel near the location of the bike. The owner of the bike arrived at the scene, and positively identified the wheel in the suspect’s possession as being the wheel to his bicycle. The suspect was placed under arrest for bicycle theft. The suspect admitted to the bicycle theft, and a sergeant arrived at the scene to approve the arrest.
A BART employee reported the theft of his cell phone at the 16th Street Station. The agent left his cell phone on the counter in the booth. Loss was described as a Samsung Galaxy cell phone (no serial numbers and no cell service) and the value was estimated by the victim at $300.00. The victim did not see anyone take his phone, but suspected a couple that he had assisted earlier had taken the phone. Case is under investigation.
A patron reported the theft of her iPhone. She was on a Millbrae bound train at the 16th Street Station, with the phone on her lap, when the suspect entered the train, grabbed the phone and exited the train, just as the doors were closing. The suspect is described as a Hispanic or Black male, 6'-6'2", clean shaven, wearing a dark knit cap, a blue heavy jacket and dark jeans. She does not believe she would be able to recognize the suspect if she were to see him again.
The station agent reported that a suspect entered the station without a bicycle tire and then walked over to the bike racks. Several minutes later the suspect exited via the emergency gate and held up a bike tire towards the agent stating, "I got it, you can't stop me" or some words to that effect. Officers responded, but could not locate the suspect. Several bikes were missing tires, but there are no known victims at this time. According to the station agent, the suspect does this several times a week at 16th and 24th Street Stations. The agent thinks that the suspect may be named "Wade" and described him as a white male adult, 30-40 years old, 6'to 6'2” 180 lbs. with brown hair and beard, and wearing blue jeans and a white hoodie. The station Agent can ID if she saw him again.
Officers patrolling the plaza area encountered a female who was lighting what appeared to be glass crack pipe. Once the female was detained, officers determined that she had a small amount of crack cocaine in the pipe. The female was debriefed by the sergeant before being booked into the San Francisco County Jail for Possession of Narcotics.
A patron reported that a male suspect grabbed her iPhone from her hand at the top of the street escalator and fled. She was paying such close attention to her phone that she was not able to give any description of the male suspect. She was not injured during the incident. Her phone did not have tracking enabled. Station video will be requested by the investigating officer.

A woman reported that a man stole her wallet out of her purse. The suspect committed the crime in the stairwell and escaped in an unknown direction. (suspect description: B-M, 28-30, 5-8, 150, red shirt)
A victim reported that his green mountain bike which was secured by a cable lock was stolen. The bicycle was locked on 07/06/12 at 1600 hours and upon his return on 07/09/12 at 1345 hours he noticed the bike missing. The total value including the damaged lock cable is $200.
Officers responded to the street level plaza for a report of a female passed out possibly requiring medical attention. Upon their arrival the female was in the back of the ambulance receiving medical attention from the paramedics that were already on the scene. As the officers were at the ambulance trying to talk to the victim they were contacted by a female who told them that the female in the ambulance had been sexually assaulted by a male that was currently sitting in the plaza. As they were talking to the first female a second female approached them and told them that she had pepper sprayed the possible male suspect in the face. The female victim was subsequently transported to the hospital. The male was detained pending further investigation. A Sergeant, evidence technician, and Detective responded to the hospital. The investigation is still on-going.
The victim was seated on the train using his iPad as the train approached the station. When the train doors opened, the suspect, a BM, 20 yrs, 5-10", 200 lbs, muscular build, wearing a blu hooded sweatshirt with an image on the front and blu pants, snatched the victim's iPad and ran from the train. The victim said that there were two other subjects who ran from the train with the suspect. The victim off-boarded the train at the Montgomery Station where he made the report. An area check for the suspects was negative. Video surveillance is being requested.
A victim reported her Alexrims sub-tire rim and Comfy-ride seat taken from her Mercier Kilo TT-Pro bicycle while it was locked in the bicycle racks. She locked the bicycle at 0800 and returned at 1730 hours.
