An officer contacted an adult male for fare evasion and discovered that he had a valid stay away order to stay away from BART. The male was also found to be in possession of a dirk/dagger. The officer also determined that he was in need of a psychiatric evaluation, so he was transported to John George Pavilion with a criminal hold. Once he is evaluated and treated, he will be booked into the Glenn Dyer Jail for fare evasion, violation of a court order and possession of a dirk/dagger.

Patrons on board the Pittsburg bound train reported that a male suspect was creating a disturbance. The suspect was detained by responding officers. Record checks showed that the man had an outstanding $8,000 arrest warrant for vandalism, held by San Francisco PD. The man was arrested for his warrant. A search incident to arrest revealed a small quantity of suspected heroin on his person. The man was booked at Glenn Dyer Jail for his warrant and for possession of narcotics.

Officers responded to the 12th Street Station for a report of a male passed out, had urinated on himself, and his pants were partially down. The agent attempted to awaken the male but with negative results. Officers determined the male was too intoxicated to care for himself and was a danger to himself and others. The male was booked at the Glenn Dyer Jail.

Officers detained a male suspect for reportedly exposing his buttocks, in front of patrons, after briefly off-boarding a train at the MacArthur station and then re-boarding the same train. The victim, a train operator, positively identified the suspect and placed him under arrest for indecent exposure. A sergeant responded and approved the arrest. The suspect was then booked into the county jail for indecent exposure, in addition to being issued a prohibition order.

A female passenger reported that she became involved in a verbal dispute with a male who then threatened to throw her onto the trackway as a train was approaching. Officers arrived and contacted both parties. The female placed the male under citizen's arrest and the male admitted to making the threat. The male was issued a prohibition order before being booked into the Glenn Dyer Jail for making criminal threats.

An officer responded to a report of a suspect “huffing” on the train and acting erratic. The officer searched and located the suspect in the lead car. The suspect resisted the detention and attempted to escape. The officer was able to restrain the suspect and take him into custody. The suspect was arrested and booked into the North County Jail for resisting and narcotics offense. A sergeant responded to conduct a use of force investigation.

Unattended Death

Officers and a sergeant responded to the station regarding the report of a subject struck by a San Francisco bound train on the number 2 track way of the station. Fire and paramedic personnel responded as well. Shortly after police and firefighter personnel arrived at the station they found the subject (an adult male) partially wedged between the train and the platform. Medical personnel eventually pronounced the subject deceased at the scene. Officers interviewed several witnesses, processed the scene for evidence but found no evidence of foul play. Crime scene technicians and trauma response team members responded; and the on-call detective was notified of the incident. Video recovery community service officers were called upon as well. As a result of this incident, system wide delays were estimated at 20-30 minutes.

Officers responded to the 12th Street Station for a report of a male creating a disturbance by challenging patrons to fight. The male was located on a train that was holding on the platform. No one came forward to make a complaint for disturbing the peace. Officers determined the male was intoxicated and was not able to care for himself. He was placed under arrest for public intoxication and was booked at the Glenn Dyer Jail.

A station agent requested police assistance with a group of subjects who were arguing over ownership of found property turned into the agent. An officer responded and contacted the only (female) subject who remained on scene at the time he arrived. This subject was identified as the property’s rightful owner but was also found to have an outstanding “no bail” battery warrant, held by Alameda County Juvenile Probation Services, for her arrest. The officer placed the subject under arrest for the warrant, and a sergeant responded to approve the arrest. The subject was then booked into the county jail for the warrant.

Officers responded to the station on the report of a male suspect who, after fare evading into the station’s paid area, battered the female station agent with a handful of brochures. Officers detained the suspect at street level without incident, just above the station, and the station agent placed him under citizen's arrest for battering her. A sergeant responded to approve the arrest and perform the post arrest debrief. The suspect was then issued a prohibition order and booked into the county jail for battering the station agent, who was not injured.

The female juvenile was found to be a ward of the court, and was cited for misdemeanor domestic violence and was turned over to Child Protective Services.

The victim gave chase, but lost the suspect after he exited the station. Officers were not able to locate him and the phone was tracked, but not located. The victim was not injured. Train and station video will be requested.

A female reported she was aboard a Pittsburg bound train and her crotch was grabbed by a male subject as the train pulled into the 12th Street Station. The victim exited the train and the suspect stayed aboard. The train was checked at another station but the suspect was gone. The victim wished to pursue charges for battery if the suspect was located and reported she was not injured. The investigating officer is following up on this case.
