A female victim reported that a male suspect (BM,brown jacket, short hair) walked up behind her and grabbed her iPhone 6s Plus from her hand as she was walking up the stairs. The suspect then fled on foot towards the street level. The male was not located and the phone could not be tracked. The victim was not injured. Station video will be requested.
A male suspect detained for fare evasion by an officer was found to have an outstanding “no cite” $5K misdemeanor theft warrant, held by San Francisco Police, for his arrest. The suspect was placed under arrest for the warrant without incident, and then booked into the county jail.
A female victim reported that while on the escalator leading to the concourse level of the station, she dropped her gold-colored iPhone 6 which the black female suspect then picked up and refused to return. The victim then struggled for control of the phone, but the suspect managed to retain it and eventually fled out of the station. Officers responded but were unable to locate the suspect. An attempt to track the phone was also unsuccessful. The victim, who was not injured, further described the suspect as follows: 18-19 years of age; 5’4” tall; wearing a red jacket and blue jeans. Eventually they were able to confirm his identity and discovered that he had a $15,500 warrant for domestic violence. An off-duty security guard reported that he was sitting on a bench on the platform, watching videos on his cell phone, with his green & black backpack on the bench beside him. He saw the pack move, looked up and saw a male suspect carrying it away. The suspect was described as a black male, 6' tall, with a skinny build, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt. The suspect fled from the station via the 14th Street exit. An area check for the suspect was unsuccessful. The victim reported that his .40 caliber Beretta pistol was inside the backpack when it was stolen. Oakland PD was advised of the theft.

Officers were dispatched to a report of a female creating a disturbance on a train. Officers contacted the female and discovered that she had a $10,000 warrant for battery. No one wished to make a complaint for the original disturbance, so she was booked into the Santa Rita Jail for the warrant.
An officer was dispatched to a report of a battery victim at the hospital. Upon interviewing the victim, the victim reported that they were in the stairwell of the station at around 1940 hours when approached by a suspect who demanded his money. In fear, the victim ran downstairs, tripped, and fell, causing non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect was described as a black male in his 20's, 5'9" tall, 140 pounds, wearing dark clothing. The phone could not be tracked. The suspect was not located in the area of 12th Street Station.
Officers were returning to their patrol car, when they contacted a male who was creating a disturbance by threatening to harm people on the street. The male was in possession of open bottles of alcohol. The officers determined the male was too intoxicated to care for himself and was booked at Santa Rite Jail.

Officers contacted the male and discovered that he was not only trying to remove the bike lock and was in possession of burglary tools, but he also had a no bail probation warrant for his arrest. The male was arrested and booked into the Santa Rita Jail for attempted bike theft, possession of burglary tools and the warrant. Detectives were notified of the arrest, but the suspect refused to give a statement.
Officers responded to a report of a male subject who was drunk and hitting other patrons. The officers arrived and were able to locate and detain the suspect in question. The suspect was arrested and booked for battery on a transit passenger based on a citizen’s arrest. The suspect was additionally issued a prohibition order. The victim was uninjured.

The suspect was issued a prohibition order and placed on a psychiatric hold, with a criminal hold for the warrant and the battery charge. The victim was treated by paramedics at the scene and released. Station video will be requested.
A male called to report that he was punched and robbed on the train. Officers contacted the male and discovered that he was unable to provide any details about the robbery. He was determined to be intoxicated in public and in violation of a court order to stay away from all BART stations. He was eventually booked into the Glenn Dyer Jail for the court order violation.
