A female patron approached the station agents booth and asked the female agent for assistance with her BART tickets. When informed the tickets were invalid, the patron reached into the booth, and grabbed and scratched the agent's arm. Officers arrived and arrested and booked the suspect.
An iPOD was stolen from a patron by two subjects described as two males 16-18 years of age. Responding officers searched the area surrounding the station for the suspects without success.
A man was stabbed in the stomach when he tried to intervene on behalf of another man who was being beaten by two subjects. The incident occurred on board a Richmond bound train as it was arriving at 12th St. station. The suspects, who were both males in their 20's, fled when the train arrived at 12th St. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
An officer contacted a male subject she observed for fare evasion. The subject refused to cooperate, then became physical, grabbing her and pushing her against a wall. She struggled with the subject, spraying him with OC and took him into custody. He was medically treated, then booked for the battery.
A female patron on board a train had her iPOD snatched by a 15 yr. old male juvenile as the train pulled into the station. The suspect off-boarded and fled to the street level where he was apprehended by units responding to the call. The victim identified the suspect and the iPOD was found in his possession. Suspect booked at juvenile hall.
Two adult males were arrested and booked after they snatched a laptop computer from a patron who was awaiting a train on the Richmond platform of the station. Responding officers conducted a thorough search of the area and netted the suspects and the computer a short time later.
An adult female reported that she and her daughter were confronted by a subject on board a train approximately one hour prior who threatened them with bodily harm and brandished a knife. Unable to locate suspect. Investigation continuing.
Witnesses reported that a male adult had brandished a knife at other patrons on a Pittsburg Train holding at 12th St. Station . One suspect was detained and positively by several witnesses. The suspect was also found to be in possession of a butterfly knife and was booked for both offenses. 0702-2241. S42.
A female patron reported being pushed onto the ground by another female who disagreed with her religious beliefs. Officers were unable to locate the suspect. The victim received medical treatment at the scene.
An adult male was arrested and booked for beating his girlfriend. The incident began on board a train and continued when both parties off-boarded at 12th St. station. Officers conducted a search of the station and found the suspect continuing his physical abuse of his girlfriend in one of the stairwells.
Officers arrested a man for public intoxication and then searched him incident to arrest. The search revealed a small quantity of narcotics in the suspect's pocket. The suspect was booked for public intoxication and for possession of narcotics. 0702-1159, S39.
An officer on patrol on-viewed an adult male in possession of marijuana and subsequently arrested the subject for possession of a controlled substance other than marijuana and for being in violation of parole.
Officers responded to 12th St. station and searched the immediate area for an armed robbery suspect after the victim fled into the station to report the crime. The incident occurred just above the station at Delauers News Stand. The suspect, a male juvenile 14 yrs. of age and in the company of two other males in their late teens, pulled a gun and placed it against the victim's head. Loss was a wallet.
One wheel of a Richmond bound train derailed as the train was about to enter 12th St. Station. Passengers were evacuated without incident by the Oakland Fire Dept. Although one person was transported to a local hospital, it isn't known at this time why. There were no reported injuries. Twelfth St. station was closed temporarily as the situation was assessed. Within minutes of the closure modified service was restored to the station.
Officers observed a suspect seated on the edge of platform #1, with his legs dangling over the platform ledge. The screaming and yelling subject could not be reasoned with, and was placed into custody. Once in custody, the suspect bit the hand of one of the arresting officers. The subject was transported to a local hospital for evaluation. As of this writing, the officer was still being treated at the emergency room of a local hospital.
An adult male and adult female who knew one another were involved in an argument over money which resulted in the female being slapped. The male left the area prior to the arrival of responding officers. No medical needed.
An officer detained a fare evasion suspect, then arrested the suspect for a felony domestic violence warrant. The suspect was also in possession of narcotics which was packaged for sale, and was later booked at the County jail.
An on-duty station agent at 12th St. station was shoved by an adult female suspect who was angry about her fare ticket not working. The suspect also pushed the agents' booth door against the agent wedging her against the wall. The suspect was arrested by officers and booked for battery and a warrant for a prior fare evasion. 0609-3309 L21.
Officers responded to a report of three juveniles assaulting an adult male. The three suspects were detained but officers were unable to locate the victim. The incident may arisen as result of a previous dispute among the parties.
Trains were held and the station searched for an adult male who committed a strongarm robbery in downtown Oakland. Several people were reported to have chased the suspect into the 12th Street station, which was searched with negative results.
A patron was attacked on the platform level of the station by 4-5 males who attempted to rob him of his iPOD. Paramedics treated the victim who was punched in the mouth. The suspects fled prior to the arrival of responding officers.
hrs. Officers assisted the Oakland Police Department in the search of a suspect wanted on a drug violation and possibly armed with a firearm. Officers found the suspect on a train at 12th St. Station.
A suspect snatched an iPhone4 from the hands of a male victim on the train. The suspect then fled to the street with a witness chasing him. The suspect was described as a black male in his 20's, 5'7" tall, wearing a white beanie, a black or blue jacket with white trim. An officer located a male matching the suspect's description a short distance away. Three witnesses were brought to the scene and the witness who chased the suspect from the train positively identified the male detainee as the person who stole the phone. The detainee did not have any phones on his person when contacted by the officers. The detainee was taken into custody and transported to Lake Merritt Station. Further investigation and review of available video footage from the station resulted in the investigating officers concluding the detainee was not the person who stole the victim's phone, despite the positive identification by the witness. The detainee was released without further delay. The suspect in this case was not located. The video footage will be forwarded to detectives for further investigation.
