Hayward Police received a call from an unknown reporting party advising of a bomb aboard an A/C Transit bus arriving at the BART station’s bus zone area; the bus and immediate area were cleared of passengers and pedestrians shortly after the initial call. BART canine officers responded, along with several Union City Police officers. The incident bus was swept by the canine teams, but no suspicious or explosive devices were located. Meanwhile, Hayward Police performed a check of the public telephone from which the initial report originated, but did not locate anyone or anything suspicious. Train service was minimally impacted and TSOC was notified.
