March 13, 2017, 9:15 p.m.

South Hayward
Case: 1703-0836

A female victim reported that a male suspect grabbed her iMac Pro laptop and ran out of the train and out of the station. Three other males ran with the suspect (all described as BMJs, one with a dark blue hoodie). An officer in the area located four males walking nearby and tried to detain them. One of the males fled into the neighborhood, but three were detained. The fourth male later returned to the station and was located on the platform. He was in possession of a laptop computer that was later identified as being the victim's. The victim was unable to identify any of the males as being responsible for committing the theft. All of the males were identified and released to their parents. The one who fled was interviewed before being issued a citation for resisting/delaying an officer and possession of stolen property. He will also be released to a parent. Detectives were notified of the case.
