Aug. 11, 2014, 9:56 p.m.

Fruitvale
Case: 1408-1815

The victim of a robbery contacted an officer at Fruitvale Station and reported that three male suspects had simulated a weapon and stolen $1 from him. The suspects were described as black males, 18-20 years old. The suspect who stole the money was wearing a plaid shirt. One of the suspects wore a white tee shirt. There was no description of the third man. The suspects reportedly boarded a Fremont train. That train was intercepted at San Leandro Station and a male matching the suspect description was detained in the bus zone. The victim was taken to the station, but could not identify the man as one of the robbery suspects. The suspects were not located. However, the man detained in the bus zone was found to be on probation for drug violations out of BART PD and had a stay-away order from all BART stations. The man was arrested for violation of a court order and was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
