Oct. 20, 2015, 7:43 p.m.

North Concord/Martinez
Case: 1510-4123

A sergeant and officers responded to the station regarding a male suspect battering a female victim who was attempting to board a bus. The male suspect was detained without incident, and officers determined both he and the victim were currently in a dating relationship. Based upon information provided by an independent witness, the suspect was then placed under arrest for domestic violence. In addition, a wants/warrants check of the suspect revealed an active stay away order identifying him as the restrained party and the female as the protected party. The sergeant approved the arrest and the suspect was booked into the county jail for domestic violence, violation of the court order and issued a BART prohibition order. The victim was not injured and declined medical attention.
