Public Intoxication/Resisting Arrest/Warrant Arrest

An officer sweeping the last train contacted an adult male who was sleeping on the train.  The male, who was intoxicated, became belligerent and then lunged at the officer.  The officer was able to get the suspect on the ground and with the help of other officers, get the suspect into custody.  The suspect also had a $5,000 "no cite" warrant for petty theft.  The suspect suffered a laceration to his left cheek during the struggle and was transported for treatment prior to being booked for public intoxication, resisting arrest and the warrant.
