On the trains that go from the suburbs to Manhattan, a conductor walks through the cars and takes your ticket. You can also buy a ticket from him. If you don't have a ticket, you get off at the next stop. The conductor (or whatever he's called) regularly walking through the cars provides security. Last Sunday I was on BART in the lead car with the operator. It was just me until about 4 young black guys got on. They were acting-up and i realized that it didn't matter that I was in that car. The operator isn't watching what goes on and isn't going to come out of the cubicle even if i'm being attacked. At the next stop I got in a different car.

well when you report a situation the driver is not directly notified until the dispatch deems it a situation, otherwise the trains would never go anywhere right?

Bart Police responding took about one / two stops ? The only way Bart would have known about the disturbance is if someone called 911 or alerted bart directly. And as soon as Bart was alerted the train driver should have stopped at the next station until officers arrived

I was on the train and I was impressed how quickly Bart Police responded, took about one / two stops. The guy was out of his mind, he got undressed, was yelling at people and even took a swing at a guy that tried to get between him and a lady. How long until Bart makes it impossible to get on the trains unless you have a valid ticket? That would make Bart so much safer to ride. In the last month this it the second time this has happened one of these days someone is going to get really injured.

I hope the people at the jail go out and buy Mr. Hill a 190 proof bottle of Chinese whiskey and make him drink it all in one sitting. This will take care of any future public or private intoxication.
