Armed Robbery

Case: 1709-0650

The victim was on board a Fremont bound train between the Hayward and South Hayward Stations, when the suspect approached her, produced a black semi-automatic handgun, and demanded the victim's purse. The suspect took the victim's purse and according to a witness, off-boarded the train when it reached the South Hayward Station. The suspect was described as a Black male, 20-30 yrs, wearing a black beanie, black sweatshirt and black sweatpants. An area check for the suspect was conducted with negative results. The victim was not injured. Train car and station video will be requested.

the last sentence above is "Train car and station video will be requested" I agree Bart is a magnet for criminals and clearly they are not doing enough to make their stations safe and clean. Daily car break-ins, very few arrest.
