Officers responded to the platform to intercept a train for a report of a woman who was seen brandishing a handgun and making threats to patrons. Upon arrival, the woman was positively identified by victims and a replica firearm was recovered from her person. During detention, the woman began hyperventilating and told officers she wanted to kill herself. Medical personnel transported the woman to San Francisco General Hospital for a psychiatric evaluation. The woman, who was placed under arrest for brandishing a weapon and making threats, will be transported to San Francisco Jail after her release from the hospital. The woman was issued a District prohibition order for brandishing a weapon and making threats. A sergeant responded to the scene to approve the arrest. Video hotline notified.
