Case: 1501-0619

A anonymous caller called the California Highway Patrol via 911 and stated that he intended to place a bomb at the Richmond BART Station. The caller refused to provide his name or further information, but the CHP was able to trace the call to an address in Rancho Cordova, CA. CHP requested that the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office send deputies to the address to investigate. Meanwhile, BART officers checked Richmond Station, which was closed at the time the call was received. Nothing suspicious was located at the station. Sacramento County deputies contacted the caller and determined that he was a twelve year old boy, who made the call as a result of a dispute with his mother. Deputies determined that there was no merit to the bomb threat. TSOC notified.
