Case: 1610-0292

The station agent reported that after telling the male suspect to stop selling BART tickets at the station, the suspect spat on the agent’s face and then fled from the station. During a subsequent area search, Officers located and detained the suspect in a fast-food restaurant near the Powell Street BART station. The victim/station agent arrived at that location a short time later, positively identified the suspect as the responsible and placed him under citizen’s arrest for battery. Further, a wants/warrants check of the suspect revealed an active stay away order prohibiting his entry onto BART property. The suspect was then issued a prohibition order before being booked into the county jail for battering a transit employee and violating the stay away order.
