24th St. Mission
Case: 1403-1097

SFPD advised that a parental abduction had occurred near the 24th Street Station. It was reported that the father had abducted the child and had fled towards the station. At 1734 hours, a station agent reported that SFPD units were inside the station and were searching a train that was on the platform for the suspect. Additional SFPD units responded to the 16th Street Station and started searching trains at that station. BART officers and a sergeant responded to the stations to assist. SFPD requested additional trains to be searched at Civic Center and Powell Street. At 1756 hours, all trains were released after a 22 minute delay. Train service was restored and the suspect was not located inside the BART system.
