Outside Assist (Attempted Homicide)

July 13, 2014, 10:42 a.m.

24th St. Mission
Case: 1407-2074

BART officers and a sergeant responded to a report of a subject laying face-down with blood around him in the west plaza area. San Francisco PD and EMS also received similar reports. EMS and SFPD officers arrived first and determined that the subject (determined to be a female) suffered from stab wounds. Further investigation into the matter revealed that blood was additionally found in a nearby alley and that SFPD had a male subject detained in that same alley. SFPD investigators arrived and took over the investigation. BART PD officers assisted by maintaining initial crime scene security in the plaza area and by canvassing for potential witnesses. The wounds that the victim suffered were later determined to appear non-life threatening.
