Battery/Warrant/Resisting Arrest (Prohibition Order Issued)

Nov. 23, 2016, 10:24 p.m.

El Cerrito del Norte
Case: 1611-1494

Officers attempted to detain a male suspect for reportedly battering another male at the station. The suspect, however, resisted the officers and a struggle ensued. The officers finally managed to place the suspect in handcuffs, and learned he was also wanted on a $5K narcotics’ warrant held by Pinole Police. The suspect was then issued a prohibition order and booked into the county jail for battery (per the victim's citizen’s arrest), the outstanding warrant and resisting arrest. The involved officers were not injured, nor were the victim and suspect. A sergeant responded to perform the use of force investigation.
