Fare Evasion/False Identifying Information to an Officer/Warrant Arrest

May 15, 2015, 8:23 a.m.

San Francisco International Airport
Case: 1505-2530

The station agent reported a fare evader at the station. An officer responded and made contact with the adult male. The male lied about his name, and the name he gave (his brother's) had a warrant. The male was detained and eventually positively identified as the brother of the name he originally used. He also had a warrant ($50,000 for battery). The male was booked into the Redwood City Jail for providing false identifying information to an officer and the warrant. The station agent decided not to place him under citizen's arrest for the original fare evasion.
