An officer responded to the station on a report of an adult male transient, described as a Black male in his 20s, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and jeans, who was possibly starting a fire in the bus zone. Upon arrival, the officer located the suspect in the bus zone as he was attempting to light a newspaper. The officer determined the suspect was in need of a psychiatric evaluation. The officer conducted a records check of the suspect which revealed two no bail warrants held by the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office. The first warrant was for auto theft and the second for possession of dangerous drugs. The suspect was transported to a local area hospital for treatment, and later booked into the Redwood City Jail on the warrants. 1401-1753 L17.
