The female victim and the male suspect were seen arguing as they walked into the station and proceeded to the platform. The suspect, who is the brother-in-law and former cohabitant of the victim, punched her in the eye and about her head. The victim left the platform and went to the station agent's booth to seek help. As the agent and victim were talking, the suspect appeared and threated both the agent and victim with violence if police were called. At one point, the suspect threw a pair of sunglasses striking the station agent in her right eye. When officers arrived, they detained the suspect. The suspect was eventually booked into the Santa Rita Jail on the above listed charges and was also issued a prohibition order. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of facial injuries. The station agent, who's only complaint was of pain to her right eye, was transported by a BART Supervisor to an area hospital for precautionary measures.
