A patron reported that there was a subject who lit a train car seat on fire. The incident train car was held at the Castro Valley Station. A witness apparently took a photo of the suspect and provided it to Sergeant Enriquez, who was the first officer on scene. A check was conducted of the surrounding area and adjacent station with negative results. The incident train was taken out of service, and there were no reported injuries. Detectives were notified and evidence technicians went to the Daly City Yard to process the train car for evidence. The damage to the train car was minor. The suspect is described as a BM or OM in their late 20’s, 6’02, thin build, short black hair, wearing a black puffy jacket, black pants, and black Jordan shoes. The surrounding area and station was canvassed for video evidence. TSOC was notified.
