Outside Assist/Domestic Violence/Resisting Arrest

April 24, 2017, 7:17 p.m.

Powell St.
Case: 1704-1524

An officer was in an eatery adjacent to the station when he noticed a female grabbing onto a male in an apparent argument. The officer tried to intercede, but the female continued grabbing onto the male and had to be placed in a control hold. She resisted arrest, but was eventually handcuffed. The male, who was not injured, was determined to be her boyfriend. SFPD was unable to respond, so the female was booked into the San Francisco County Jail for domestic battery and resisting arrest. The male refused an emergency protective order. A sergeant responded to approve the arrest and to conduct a use of force investigation.
