Assault with a Deadly Weapon (Prohibition Order)

March 28, 2016, 5:40 p.m.

An officer responded to a report of a station agent who was possibly assaulted by a male suspect with a metal crowbar. The station agent, who was uninjured, was able to disarm the suspect and recovered the weapon. The officer arrived and was initially unable to locate the suspect. It was further reported that the suspect may have been involved in some sort of robbery that occurred earlier at the station between himself and another person who was no longer at the station. Berkeley Officers later reported that they had the possible suspect detained at a nearby gas station. The station agent was then transported to the suspect’s location, and positively identified him as the responsible. The suspect was then placed under arrest for assault with a deadly weapon, issued a prohibition order and booked into the county jail. 1603-0734 L21/L10
