An officer was dispatched to a report of two male subjects fighting over a bicycle on a Daly City bound train. An officer was on scene and located two male subjects on the platform. Additional officers arrived a short time later to assist. The officers detained the aggressor, who turned out to be the subject who attempted to rob the victim of his bicycle. The suspect, who was handcuffed, repeatedly attempted to walk away from the officers so physical force was used to affect the detention. The suspect appeared intoxicated and refused to answer any of the officers’ questions. The victim reported that he was on the platform when the suspect tried to take his bicycle and get onto a train. The victim refused and the suspect physically assaulted him. The victim suffered from a minor injury to his fingers. The suspect was transported and booked into the SF County Jail for robbery and additionally issued a prohibition order. A sergeant responded to approve the arrest and conducted a use of force investigation.
